Illustration Friday - Metropolitan
Finally have found the time to get round to an illustration for this weeks topic - Metropolitan. In case you didn't know the police force in the UK are known as The Metropolitan Police (or The Met for short) - hence the inspiration for this cartoon.
What with all the amazing work the Met, and the other emergency services, have done this past week during the London bombings I thought they could use a mention too! A common (but sometimes irritating) sight in London is also the lowly pigeon, though I think the world would be a better place if this was the only nuisance they had to worry about!

Perhaps the pigeons could be trained to launch a counterattck.

I love your policeman, but I don't think I'd bother him for the time!

This reminds me I've been meaning to do something about my local community police officer CPO Mike Pole. I'll try to get it done tomorrow, so don't look just yet.

For info, only the police in London are called "the Met", there is also The City of London Police, British Transport Police and all county police are called "Constabluarys"
